Dear HXCS Family Members and Friends,
As the 2009-2010 school year is fast approaching to the end, we would like to thank all people who have volunteered and helped us to make this year another great one. The end of the school year also happens to coincide with the two-year term completion of the current school management team. The school by-law mandates us to elect a school Principal and s/he will organize a new management team before the start of next school year. To fulfill this duty, the board has set up a search committee to recruit a school principal to head the school management team for next two years (renewable for another term at the end of the two year term). The searching process had started and was announced during last two Sunday’s PTA meeting. This is another great opportunity for HXCS family members and friends to volunteer, to make your contribution and to ensure our future success. Please look at the following basic requirement and contact the search committee member or any other board member if you would like to nominate someone or yourself (Please fill out the attached nomination form). The deadline for submitting nomination is May 8th, 2010. The board will elect a new school management team and announce the result shortly thereafter.

Principal Candidate Qualification:

A bachelor’s degree or higher. Previous experience in managing school activities in a Chinese school environment is strongly desirable.

Demonstration of leadership with strong organization skill as well as ability to professionally and effectively interact with parents, students, teachers, and staff.

Passion for and dedication to children’s education
-
Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats in Chinese and English.
