Dear Parents,
Hope you all had a great summer break!
As we are preparing for another exciting school year, we would like to inform you all what we have done, what our plans are at various time and look forward to your great participation.
The board held a regular meeting recently. One meeting agenda was adopting a new school BYLAWS. It was voted and passed unanimously. According to our school BYLAWS, one of important and pressing tasks for the new school year is the election for new school board members. The BYLAWS stated that each new board member shall serve a two year term. We also need to fill out vacancies left by some board members who had left the areas due to job relocation. This year, we need to elect up to six board members. So this is your chance to get involved and take an active role in helping and managing YOUR school.
Any parent can nominate herself or himself or can nominate other parents as candidates for the board directors. In order to encourage the broad participation, school will call for nominations at one of our scheduled parent’s meeting shortly after school starts (tentatively on 9/20/09). Please give out your name and contact information. The deadline for submitting the candidate is Tus. 9/15/2009. The board will vote for up to 6 new members from the candidate pool within a few weeks after our parent meeting. If you have any question or concern, please contact us or email us.
