San Diego Hua Xia Chinese School cordially invites you to attend our Annual Chinese New Year Festival
San Diego, Ca., February 18, 2007 – The San Diego Hua Xia Chinese School cordially invites you to attend our annual Chinese New Year Festival event on Sunday, February 18, 2007 from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm. Admission is free. The festivities will take place in the parking lot at Miramar College located at 10440 Black Mountain Road in San Diego (92126). This is the ultimate family outing with activities for all ages and enough food to feed even the hungriest teenager.
The event will begin with a traditional Chinese Drum Team, Dragon and Lion Dance. Following the Lion Dance, there will be Costume Parade with traditional costumes from the Dynasty era. After the parade, there will be a martial arts exhibition in addition to other stage performances. There will be authentic Chinese food from local restaurants that will satisfy any palate in search of Chinese cuisine.
For the children, there will be a “Kid’s FUN ZONE,” complete with inflatable jumps, cotton candy, and face painting. A clown will be there to provide comic relief.
